Cite from cloudynights: " I have 14 10-minute subs of the crescent nebula. These were taken with an ASI2600MC Pro OSC camera, using a 91mm triplet refractor with flattener. All very good equipment in great shape. The processing is driving me nuts. I'm processing it in Siril and the autostretch view looks great. However, if I do: Image Processing .. Histogram transformation .. Apply autostretch algorithm, the result looks crappy. I only did this out of desperation because all of my attempts to apply GHS are failing miserably. My data are good. ASIFitsView shows a very nice image, and the Siril AutoStretch view looks even better. However, I cannot seem to separate bacground green from green in the image in any of my attempts.The link is below, stacked with DeepSkyStacker. It's a single .fit file. Please let me know if you have any issues downloading it.What can you do with it, and how?Thanks!Dave"

Vostok1 made false HOO palette and I followed him by my own way, using Siril and Fitswork. Dave was absolutely right - Siril makes a crazy autostretch, the only way to make it right is manual stretching of the channels. Fitswork makes good job by splitting RGB into separate channels, joining as HOO, modifying etc. The final result may be not perfect but looks OK for me (at least it takes 10 minutes for all modifications).

Submitted The date and time when you submitted this image for IOTD/TP consideration.	...
Views by Submitters (available since September 19th, 2023) Every image is assigned to 50% of available Submitters. In the event that at least 80% of them don't view the image before its time in the IOTD/TP process expires, it's assigned to the other 50% of Submitters and the process begins anew.
Promotions by Submitters When 3 distinct Submitters promote the image, it moves on to the next stage of the process: evaluation for Top Pick status. This requirement, in addition to anonymization of images and distribution to only a subset of them, prevents biases and ensures that the best images are selected.
Promotions by Reviewers When 3 distinct Reviewers promote the image, it moves on to the next stage of the process: evaluation for IOTD status.
Early dismissal Staff members have a lot of images to inspect on a daily basis, and they can dismiss images if they believe they don't meet the requirements for IOTD/TP selection. If an image is dismissed 5 times, it's removed from the process. This streamlines the process and ensures that any bias present in promotions could be overruled by other staff members.
